A Truly Unique Culinary Weekend
Aftertaste | Bartender Competition
Bacardi Headquarters Lawn
Enjoy elixirs from Bermuda’s foremost bar masters! Beverage curators are challenged to make a Bermuda-themed cocktail out of a mystery ingredient box and finally judged by a panel of industry professionals. A symphony of sips will be topped up by an extreme bartending finale with a flair bartending showcase.
Dining in the Dark | Pop Up Restaurant (by reservation)
Pier 6 Upper
Test out the theory that meals are better enjoyed without sight and learn what the Bermuda Society of the Blind is doing to bring awareness to the day-to-day life of the visually impaired and blind in Bermuda. Be guided through a reframed gourmet sensory experience that will enhance taste and smell while elevating the routine task of eating to a whole new height of appreciation.
Flair Bartending | Masterclass
BDA Tourism Authority Visitor Centre
Join a Flair Master Bartender for a crash course to learn new creative exhibition flair moves that will impress guests and build more business for any establishment. This course is directed at bartenders with little to no experience in
flair who are looking to sneak a little showmanship into a regular bar routine, kicking that charming “Bermuda hospitality” experience up a notch. Included in this 3-hour course are welcome drinks and recipe cards with instructional flair diagrams.
EETAFEL Bermuda | Luxury Picnic Experience
Barr's Bay Park
Picnic-goers will enjoy an ‘Instagrammable’ bespoke experience designed for both comfort and decadence against a backdrop of the Hamilton Harbour at sunset. Cushions and blankets will run plush, hampers will be filled with the most posh of picnic fare, bubbles will steady rise and the bottoms of glasses will not be seen. Think outside of the picnic basket with this intimate and unorthodox culinary event.
Tasting Village | Street Food Fair
No. 5 Car Park, Pier 6 Upper & Terrace, Front Street
What better way to culminate the week’s festivities than by sampling a bit of Bermuda’s beloved Institutions at the Tasting Village? Experience seekers can sample from over 30 diverse cuisine vendors ranging from “new (karate) kid on the rock” Ramen, to Island late-night favourite, wahoo nuggets and can discover the confectionary thrill of a dessert parade! Quality food stalls will be featured and resident businesses in the immediate area will be invited to set up sample stations or Al fresco dining outside of their own establishments. Other highlights of the Village will include a culinary main stage activated with upbeat live cooking demos and entertainment, a “Bubble Garden” (serving up all things carbonated), interactive installations, food displays, fresh vegetable carts, Bermuda cookbooks and cookware for sale, amateur chef competitions, new trends in the Bermuda beverage and culinary circuit, a live-to-air with a local radio station, DJs mixing your favourite cooking music and plenty of shaded seating. The Tasting Village hours will also extend into the night. Admission to the Festival is FREE and hopeful “noshers” can purchase tokens online or in person at the event in exchange for food samplers.
Tickets to all Taste of Bermuda events will be available in August on PTIX.
