VIVID Public Art in the City Initiative
VIVID: City of Hamilton Public Art Initiative 2023
The City of Hamilton is thrilled to announce the inclusion of an international artist in the 2023 VIVID Public Art Initiative. Mural specialist Andre Trenier, hailing from the Bronx, has been creating street murals for the last 20 years. Many of his murals are odes to great sports figures such as Muhammad Ali, Mickey Mantle and Jackie Robinson as well as rapper Sean Price and musical group Heavy D. & the Boyz, all of which grace the streets of the Bronx and Washington Heights and have been viral sensations.
Andre will be hosting a free, hands-on, mural workshop on Saturday, April 15th and Sunday, April 16 where he will lend his techniques and talents to local artisans. Please note that registration has now closed.
