COVID Safety Reminder from City

Hamilton – December 2nd, 2020

With the recent spike in COVD-19 cases in the Bermuda community, the City of Hamilton reminds the public to adhere to the safety protocols and guidelines as directed by the Bermuda Government.

The City requests all customers coming to reception in City Hall to wear a mask and use the hand sanitizer provided before they can be served. Customers are asked to use the front door of City Hall for exit and entry as the rear door of the building has been closed to limit the use of the foyer as a thoroughfare.

City of Hamilton Chief Operating Officer, Dwayne Caines, added, “It was easy to become complacent when our COVID cases were only sporadic but with the recent rash of both imported and locally transmitted cases as well as possible known contact with the virus cases, we must all do our part to ensure that we are using best practices and being vigilant when it comes to our safety and the safety of others.”

City workers continued to be issued with the appropriate personal protection equipment to keep them safe on the job and when engaging with the public.

The City reminds the community that all of its public bathrooms are inspected, replenished  and cleaned every two hours.
