Bermuda Residents are Invited to Discover Hamilton

Hamilton – May 19, 2021

The City of Hamilton invites you on a trip into the past with its FREE ‘Discover Hamilton’ walking tour, led by Town Crier Ed Christopher.

The tour, which commences this month and is a top-rated tour on TripAdvisor, takes you through the streets of Hamilton and past culturally and historically significant landmarks such as ‘Nellie’s Walk’ and ‘Doctor’s Row’.

As the City’s Town Crier for more than 25 years, Ed’s extensive knowledge is based on years of research and oral histories passed down through the generations.

“This tour is a perfect way for both tourists and residents to discover the vibrant streets and stories of the City of Hamilton,” said the City’s Marketing Coordinator Sideya Dill.  “From the juicy gossip of old Bermuda, to the uncomfortable truths of our past, Ed has all the stories!

“Come join us for your next team-building event, a fun family day out or for an independent endeavour to trail the sacrifices of our forefathers. Challenge what you think you know; get a new perspective or just enjoy a fun day out! We encourage everyone to come and discover Hamilton’s fascinating history and immerse themselves in this rich heritage experience.”

Walk-ins are accepted, but to avoid disappointment visit www.cityofhamilton.bm to reserve your tour or for more information. You can also email towncrier@cityhall.bm

The ‘Discover Hamilton’ tour departs from City Hall at 10:30 am from Monday to Friday until December and takes approximately one hour and 45 minutes. Water is provided and gratuities are accepted. All Town Crier walking tours are wheelchair accessible.

Ed also offers other City tours which are all available upon request. They include:
