City of Hamilton Hosts Governor Lalgie

Hamilton – June 25, 2021

Yesterday the City of Hamilton hosted Her Excellency the Governor Rena Lalgie at City Hall.

Mayor Gosling welcomed the Governor on behalf of the Council members and the City’s Executive Team and formally introduced those assembled.

During the luncheon visit, the Governor was provided with an overview of the City’s roles and functions.

Mayor Gosling said, “This is truly a historic occasion for us – having the honour of hosting Bermuda’s first black Governor and also our first female Governor. The City has enjoyed a longstanding friendship with Government House and we very much look forward to furthering that relationship with Governor Lalgie.”
