City Announces Vendors for Tasting Village

Hamilton – September 21, 2022

The City of Hamilton is excited to announce the list of vendors taking part in the Tasting Village on Sunday, October 2^nd, 2022, as part of Taste of Bermuda – Hamilton's most delicious and fun food festival.

The Tasting Village is a lively street festival which will feature a range of entertainment, an ultimate kid’s zone (which includes bouncy castles, bumper cars, face-painting and roller skating – all for FREE) and culinary delights served up via Bermuda's most beloved food vendors and culinary institutions along Front Street. The flagpole viewing stand will be transformed into a culinary stage and activated with upbeat cooking demo's and DJ's mixing classic cooking tunes. There will be something to suit all tastes and satisfy any craving with a variety of food available, from Caribbean and Mexican inspired cuisine to sweet treats and gourmet teas!

 There will be a live demonstration with Ashley’s Lemonade to show children how to make their very own fresh lemonade as well as a ‘build your own fruit pizza’ station – all for FREE!

Prizes will be awarded for the ‘Best of the Fest’ – a public vote cast in-person at the Tasting Village for attendees’ favorite vendor. Prizes include a Samsung phone courtesy of One Communications, a gift certificate from International Chef Shop and a trophy.

This bespoke culinary experience has been designed to create an atmosphere which will connect attendees collectively with both old traditions and new trends in the culinary industry. Taste of Bermuda – the biggest curated food-centric event in Bermuda – promises to showcase our culture, celebrate community and support Bermuda businesses.”

Food Network celebrity chef Anne Burrell will be taking part in two cooking demonstrations at the Tasting Village followed by a book signing.

Anne Burrell is an American chef, television personality, and former instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of the Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America. In 2015, she won the fourth installment of the Chopped All-Stars tournament. She also hosted the series Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell from 2012 to 2013. In 2011, she published her first cookbook, Cook Like a Rock Star, which earned a place on the New York Times Best Seller list. In 2013, Anne released her second cookbook, Own Your Kitchen.
