City Invites Submissions for Food Concession

Hamilton – March 3rd, 2022

Do you have an exciting and unique business concept for a pop-up food concession? If so, then you may be interested to know that the City of Hamilton is currently inviting submissions for a new food concession in the City.

The City issued its Request for Proposal (RFP) today, Thursday March 3, 2022, as part of its Food Concession Programme which seeks to enhance the vibrancy of the City and cater to the working public.

The vendor location will be the Dr. E.F. Gordon Square, located at the northeast corner of the Dundonald Street and Court Street junction.

“The City will consider proposals on a case-by-case basis and will only consider food concessions that do not directly compete with any existing businesses in the surrounding areas of the eligible locations,” explained the City’s Venue & Rentals Coordinator Lorna Hayward.

“The food concession must provide an added value to the area in terms of diversity of available options, vibrancy, customer experience and aesthetics.”

The initial lease for the granted facility will be 1 year (from May 1, 2022 until April 30, 2023). The rent for the food concession facility is $800 per quarter.

Digital proposals only will be accepted and must be emailed to lhayward@cityhall.bm. All proposals must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Monday, March 28, 2022. Leases will be awarded, and the successful applicant notified no later than Tuesday, April 5, 2022 and are expected to start operations after May 1, 2022.

Interested vendors may obtain the RFP document by emailing the City’s Venue & Rentals Coordinator Lorna Hayward at lhayward@cityhall.bm.
