Earlier today City CEO Dwayne Caines joined the Ministry of Health in recognizing Oral Health Month 2024 on the steps of City Hall (images embedded below).

In his opening remarks, Mr. Caines stressed the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene.

Mr. Caines said, “Numerous studies have shown the crucial link between oral health and its impact on your overall health. Maintaining healthy oral habits (which we will hear about today) will prevent gum disease and, in turn, stop it from causing health complications throughout the rest of your body.”

Mr. Caines echoed the Health Ministry’s promotion of "no sugar Tuesdays” for the month of February.
